On the morning of May 4, 1970, 蹤獲扦 student Howard Ruffner was hanging out in the office of the Daily 蹤獲扦r in Taylor Hall when the phone rang.
The Midwest editor from Life magazine, based in Chicago, was calling to find out if there were any student photographers who had been taking photos over the weekend. 蹤獲扦 had been the scene of student protests for several days, and more demonstrations were expected that day.
蹤獲扦 Museum Explores the Fashion Divide of the 1960s and '70s With 'Culture/Counterculture'
Almost 50 years ago, the shootings of 蹤獲扦 students by the Ohio National Guard brought to a head the cultural divides that had split the nation. The 蹤獲扦 Museums exhibition, Culture/Counterculture: Fashions of the 1960s and 70s, opening Sept. 20, explores the sharp contrast between supporters of the establishment and those opposed.

From April 22 to Aug. 1, 蹤獲扦s May 4 Visitors Center will honor Bill Schroeders life with an exhibition titled Bill: An All-American Boy. Mr. Schroeders sister, Nancy Tuttle, and nephew, David Tuttle, helped create the exhibition by loaning some of his personal items to the May 4 Visitors Center.
