Since she was a child, Caitlyn Skilton, a recent graduate of the zoology program at 蹤獲扦, has harbored a passion for ecology, with a deep love for birds of all kinds. She chose to extend this love in her undergraduate work at 蹤獲扦. On December 1, Skilton, who also minored in photojournalism, hosted a reception for her Flight of the Chimney Swift immersive multimedia exhibit in the Design Innovation (DI) Hubs Blank_Lab.

Five 蹤獲扦 Experimental Archaeology Graduates Earn Full Rides to Grad Schools

Sometimes it just takes a small spark to ignite a fire within you. For Anna Mika of Parma, Ohio, who started as a geology major her freshman year at 蹤獲扦 and switched to anthropology the following year, that spark came in 2017 while taking an anthropology course called North Americas Ice Aged Hunters, taught by Metin I. Eren, Ph.D., associate professor and director of archaeology in the College of Arts and Sciences. She said that course changed her perspective on everything.

TEFL Student Gains Experience in Murcia, Spain

G Clingman is a third-year 蹤獲扦 Student double majoring in English and Spanish while also working toward their Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate. Though they have been studying at KSUs main campus for the last two years, G is swapping Acorn Alley and the Esplanade for the historical streets of Murcia, Spain.

蹤獲扦 Senior Honored With Prestigious Fulbright Scholarship

In an impressive close to her undergraduate career, 蹤獲扦 Honors College senior Mallory Woods was recently awarded the prestigious Fulbright English Teaching Award (ETA). A native of Fairview, Pennsylvania, Woods is completing a major in translation with a Spanish concentration and minors in economics and Italian studies while also finishing a certificate program in teaching English as a foreign language.

Down and Out And Back Up: 蹤獲扦 Ashtabula Student Nick Pizzi Turns His Life Around

In March 2015, Nick Pizzi hit rock bottom. After receiving his third DUI, he decided to stop drinking. But unfortunately, it was too late. Four months later, before his daughters eighth birthday, Pizzi was sentenced to one year in the Ashtabula County jail, where his life would change forever for the positive. On May 14, 2021, he will pick up his bachelor's degree diploma during the 72nd Commencement Ceremony at 蹤獲扦 at Ashtabula.
