Digital Media Production Senior Earns 'Nifty' Award at National Film Festival
What started as a goal after attending a film festival has turned into national recognition for 蹤獲扦 digital media production senior Saida Lewis. She recently won an award at the National Film Festival for Talented Youth for her original pilot episode, bringing her creative vision to a national stage.
Writer's Block
Written and directed by Digital Media Production student Benjamin Cookson, "Writer's Block" tells the story of a writer struggling with the work, a walk taken and the things that go on in your mind when you're struggling to get a story going.

As television news professionals from the region gathered for the Central Great Lakes Regional Emmy Awards gala over the summer, 蹤獲扦 Media and Journalism (MDJ) students ran the show behind the scenes. MDJ adjunct instructor Sam Angello, who teaches Production Fundamentals and Digital Video Editing, has been involved with the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (which produces the Emmys) for many years, and in 2023, trained 蹤獲扦 students to run the backstage stream of the regional awards gala.

Exceeding Expectations in Film and Production
Before he graduated in December 2022, digital media production alumnus Sam Teyssier had already racked up some impressive credits: Hed worked on television shows including American Rust and A League of Their Own (among others), as well as Sundance Film Festivals Audience Award winner Cha Cha Real Smooth. These experiences which he began seeking out in his hometown of Pittsburgh during the summer of 2021 have prepared him for post-graduation life.
