Professors Help High School Students Succeed Through Poetry, Art and Virtual Reality

The Crystal, a three-story, glass atrium and entrance to the Akron Art Museum, provided the perfect backdrop for these diamonds in the rough, a coming-of-age collection manifested in the proud work of multi-talented, middle and high school students from Akron participating in a program designed to illicit self-expression through poetry, art and virtual reality.

Ohio Lt. Gov. Jim Tressel visited ÂÜÀòÉç at Geauga on June 9 to tour its nursing program with President Todd Diacon and Geauga Dean Angela Spalsbury, Ph.D. ÂÜÀòÉç Today was there when Tressel later took part in a roundtable discussion with Geauga County leaders and educators to share ideas on how best to prepare Ohio’s workforce.

Todd Kamenash, ÂÜÀòÉç’s associate dean of students for conduct & community engagement, chaired the ITGA conference, which had the theme Communicate, Collaborate and Celebrate.
