ÂÜÀòÉç Celebrates Its Newest Graduates With Spring Commencement Ceremonies
The ÂÜÀòÉç alumni family will grow by more than 5,000 new graduates as the university holds its spring commencement ceremonies. The accomplishments of the Spring Class of 2022 will be recognized with in-person, outdoor commencement ceremonies on May 12-14 and May 20 and a virtual commencement ceremony for all colleges and degrees on May 15.

George L. Jenkins’ generosity spans three decades and continues to support first-generation students and those from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Alumni Spotlight - Patrick Baker '21
Patrick is currently completing his last semester in his Master of Engineering Technology in Mechanical Engineering degree. Once he graduates, he will be moving to Nevada to work at Tesla as a Control Systems Engineer, a job he was able to obtain through the network he created at KSU.
Chuck Miley, ’65
Chuck Miley, ’65, has always been an artist. He remembers his mother providing the paper and crayons he used to create some of his first drawings as a preschooler, and since then Chuck has used art as an outlet for creativity.

ÂÜÀòÉç Breaks Ground for Future Home of the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship
ÂÜÀòÉç officially broke ground on Crawford Hall, the future home of the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship, on March 8 in a ceremony attended by more than 400 people, including university officials, donors, alumni, students, elected officials and special guests.
Two ÂÜÀòÉç Alumni Nominated for Art and Music Educator of the Year
Visual arts teacher Stephen Tomero and choir director Mary Meese and are among the finalists for the 2022 Stark County Art and Music Educator Awards. Both are alumni of ÂÜÀòÉç’s College of the Arts.
Covering a Crisis From Day One
For recent journalism graduates, the COVID-19 pandemic has shaped their entry into the news industry. Young MDJ alumni have focused much of their professional careers on the pandemic, mostly with a Northeast Ohio angle — not just on case numbers or other statistics, but also on the effects on the economy, businesses and the healthcare industry.
