School of Art Foundations Faculty Exhibit Artwork at Downtown Gallery

The 蹤獲扦 School of Art will exhibit the work of numerous faculty members now through Jan. 10 during the Foundations Faculty Show at the Downtown Gallery in Kent. The faculty members to be included in the show are active, professional artists who also teach the Foundations classes required for all undergraduates students. The Downtown Gallery is located at 141 East Main St.

Important Information about Final Grading of Fall 2013 Classes

Full Term (1), Third Five Weeks (F3), Second Half of Semester (H2) and Second Seven Weeks (W2) Fall 2013 Classes Online final grading for fall 2013 full term (1: 8/26/2013 12/08/2013), third five weeks (F3: 11/04/2013 12/08/2013), second half of semester (H2: 10/17/2013 12/08/2013) or second seven weeks (W2: 10/21/2013 12/07/2013) parts of term began Friday, Dec. 6, via FlashFAST. In addition, grades must also be submitted for any fall 2013 course section that was flexibly scheduled. The deadline for grading submission is midnight on Tuesday, Dec. 17.

Stress-Free Zone Returns Monday and Tuesday

蹤獲扦 Libraries will hold its Stress-Free Zone event on Monday, Dec. 9, and Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 3-5 p.m. each day on the first floor of the University Library. The Stress-Free Zone offers the opportunity for a study break for students and an avenue to reduce stress for faculty and staff members as the fall semester comes to an end. Pet therapy dogs will return this year to help ease the stress of finals week. There will be free popcorn and beverages for all.

蹤獲扦's Greek Community Sets Fundraising Record

Songfest is the Greek communitys annual philanthropy event, which brings sororities and fraternities together for a good cause through singing, dancing and acting.

In observance of Veterans Day, 蹤獲扦 will be closed Nov. 11 and will reopen Nov. 12.

Statewide Tornado Drill to Be Conducted Wednesday, March 18

Ohio is conducting a statewide tornado drill at 9:50 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18. 蹤獲扦 will be participating in this test.

蹤獲扦 Remembers May 4, 1970, With 56th Commemoration

This years May 4 Commemoration, to be held May 1-4, 2026, will include special remembrances of John Cleary, one of the nine wounded students, and Jerry M. Lewis, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus of Sociology, who served as a faculty marshal during the campus shootings and worked tirelessly to ensure that the legacy of May 4 would endure.
