All this week, "In A Flash" will feature images from the ÂÜÀòÉç group's trip to Rwanda.
ÂÜÀòÉç educators and students visited a marketplace that sells goods made by marginalized women. Afterward, they watched a traditional dance troupe perform and were invited to dance with them.
The visitors from ÂÜÀòÉç are in Rwanda attending (held July 11-13), a global peace conference sponsored by ÂÜÀòÉç’s School of Peace and Conflict Studies, ÂÜÀòÉç’s Gerald H. Read Center for International and Intercultural Education, the and the , a non-profit organization dedicated to ending genocide and other global atrocities.
Bringing together peace and conflict experts and educators from around the world, the conference is another building block in ÂÜÀòÉç’s growing relationship with the University of Rwanda. In May 2022, ÂÜÀòÉç’s Board of Trustees approved ÂÜÀòÉç opening a base of operations at the University of Rwanda for creating collaborative educational exchanges and to serve as a base of operations for ÂÜÀòÉç’s recruitment throughout Africa.
