蹤獲扦

The C in college might as well stand for cramming. Studies show students are notoriously bad at adopting and adhering consistently to high-impact study habits that help them retain knowledge long-term. Researchers and faculty at 蹤獲扦, however, are collaborating on a new project to put a modern technological twist on a tried-and-true study tactic. We are working with faculty in the sciences to evaluate the degree to which a technique called successive relearning can improve students learning and retention of co...

The May 4 50th Commemoration Advisory Committee appreciates the personal and meaningful responses we have received about the inclusion of activist Jane Fonda as one of several keynote speakers at the 50th Commemoration of the 蹤獲扦 shooting. As a diverse group of individuals...

Researchers Study Infection Risk Reduction Program

KENT STATE ARTIST, BIOLOGIST UNITE TO DESIGN PRINT FOR NATIONAL PROJECT

Andrea Case sits at a table in 蹤獲扦s Center for the Visual Arts, carefully contemplating the silhouettes of leaves printed in bold contrasting colors on the paper in front of her. As a non-artist, I still feel comfortable having an opinion about this art, and trying to figure out what it means, and if I like it, she said. But I think people dont quite approach scientific information in the same way if theyre not a scientist. Dr. Case should like the piece; as an associate professor of biological sciences, she stepped out of her comfort zone to help create it. 沐ow the ev...

I cant even find the words to express how thankful I am for the experiences Ive had here, said Rachel Pike-Lee. In every degree that Ive pursued here, this school has always been very accepting. Thats something that really sticks out to me-- how open-minded the entire university is. The 32-year-old veteran of the United States Coast Guard finished the accelerated police academy in the summer of 2010 after first earning her undergraduate degree in interpersonal communication studies from 蹤獲扦. Pike-Lee then went on to serve active duty in the United States Coast Guard from 2...

By Becca Sagaris, Kent Wired 蹤獲扦 implemented changes to its recycling policy for the Kent campus this February. The biggest change is in plastics, of what can be recycled and what cannot, said Leah Graham, the outreach recycling coordinator. Plastic bottles and jugs should be recycled, and all plastic other than bottles and jugs should go into the landfill. Anything with a neck or an opening that is smaller than the body falls under the category of bottles and jugs. The only additional recycling change is that paper cartons will now go into the landfills, Graham said. ...
